Open for business in 1975, founder Raymond Chovanetz had a commitment to quality craftmanship. As clientele grew so did his automotive reputation.

In 1995, having grown up in the business, Erik Chovanetz began overseeing the family business for his dad. Mastercraft Bodyworks, Inc is currently a second generation family operation.

In the past 15 years, our company has worked to become a one stop auto shop. We provide custom body work, custom paint and color matching, etc.

Being pleased with quality work at a reasonable rate, Raymond was pleased to expand to two buildings in Ovilla. There are currently two shops located at 3602 Ovilla Road, one is a fabrication shop with an assembly area, the other is a body shop.

Our company was established to provide efficient, expert solutions to individuals. Our primary services include custom body work, custom paint & color matching, upholstery, graphics, panel fabrication, chop tops & suicide doors, coach building, fiberglass & rust repair work. We also offer a host of specialty services to cater to the unique needs of our clients on muscle, classic, exotic, antique, race cars & choppers. Our staff can serve a wide range of individuals, and are experts in the car business!
